Ent Surgery

ENT surgery, also known as otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, is a specialized field of medicine that focuses on the treatment of conditions affecting the ear, nose, and throat. The surgeons who specialize in this field are known as ENT surgeons, and they are trained to perform a range of surgical procedures, including sinus surgery, tonsillectomy, ear surgery, and thyroid surgery, among others. At Mehta Hospital, our team of experienced and skilled ENT surgeons is committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients.

Sinus Surgery

Sinus surgery is performed to treat a range of conditions affecting the sinuses, including chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, and sinus tumors. Our ENT surgeons are experienced in performing a range of sinus surgeries, including endoscopic sinus surgery, which involves the use of a small camera and specialized instruments to remove blockages and restore the normal function of the sinuses. This minimally invasive approach results in less pain, less scarring, and a faster recovery time compared to traditional open surgeries.

Tonsillectomy

Tonsillectomy is a surgical procedure that involves the removal of the tonsils, which are two small glands located at the back of the throat. This procedure is typically performed to treat chronic tonsillitis, sleep apnea, or other conditions that affect the tonsils. Our ENT surgeons are experienced in performing both traditional tonsillectomy procedures and newer techniques, such as coblation tonsillectomy, which uses a special device to remove the tonsils while minimizing damage to surrounding tissues.

Ear Surgery

Ear surgery is performed to treat a range of conditions affecting the ear, including hearing loss, ear infections, and tumors. Our ENT surgeons are experienced in performing a range of ear surgeries, including cochlear implant surgery, which involves the implantation of a device to restore hearing in individuals with severe hearing loss. We also offer ear tube surgery, which involves the insertion of small tubes into the ear to prevent fluid buildup and reduce the risk of ear infections.

Thyroid Surgery

Thyroid surgery is performed to treat conditions that affect the thyroid gland, including thyroid cancer, hyperthyroidism, and goiter. Our ENT surgeons are experienced in performing a range of thyroid surgeries, including thyroidectomy, which involves the removal of part or all of the thyroid gland. We also offer minimally invasive procedures, such as laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgeries, which result in less pain, less scarring, and a faster recovery time compared to traditional open surgeries.

Other Procedures

In addition to the above-mentioned procedures, our ENT surgeons are also trained to perform a range of other surgical procedures, including:

  • Nasal surgery: Nasal surgery is performed to treat a range of conditions affecting the nose, including deviated septum, nasal polyps, and tumors. Our ENT surgeons are experienced in performing a range of nasal surgeries, including septoplasty, which involves the correction of a deviated septum, and turbinate reduction, which involves the removal of excess tissue from the nasal turbinates to improve breathing.
  • Head and neck surgery: Head and neck surgery is performed to treat a range of conditions affecting the head and neck, including tumors, infections, and injuries. Our ENT surgeons are experienced in performing a range of head and neck surgeries, including neck dissection, which involves the removal of lymph nodes from the neck to treat cancer, and salivary gland surgery, which involves the removal of salivary gland tumors.
  • Pediatric ENT surgery: Pediatric ENT surgery is performed to treat a range of conditions affecting children’s ears, noses, and throats, including ear infections, tonsillitis, and cleft palate.
